Q: 1994 Chevy S10 gas tank compared to a 1999 Chevy S10 gas tank?
My boyfriend has a 1999 chevy s10 truck. He is looking to get a new gas tank for it and found one in the Uncle Henry's. However, the one for sale is a 1994 gas tank... my question is, whill this tank still work in the 1999 truck?
If you don't have a helpful answer don't answer the question.. thanks.
A: It probably depends on the engines. The V6s almost always get a bigger tank.
The first-gen 2.5L 4-cylinder ones got a 13 gallon tank, while the 2.8L and 4.3L V6s both received 20 gallon tanks
Q: What is the name of this pulley on a 1994 Chevy S10 Pickup?
http://www.phpblah.com/chevys10.jpg <- Pic of pulley with pulley circled. I am trying to fix my 1994 Chevy S10 Pickup. It's a V6 and its a long bed single cab. I can't figure out the name of this pulley I have in the picture. If you know what the exact name is, I would appreciate it. I want to fix this thing up so I can go camping again, at least make things easier. Thank you!
A: It is your "Belt Tensioner" Pulley. It can be purchased alone for about $20, or as a whole "Tensioner" unit for about $60 from your local parts store.
But be careful if you replace just the pulley, I believe the bolt holding it on in this particular case is reverse threaded.
Q: What and where is the "transmission gauge" on my 1994 Chevy S10?
I have a transmission fluid leak and the mechanic says the "transmission gauge" is where the leak is and that it needs to be changed. I have never heard of this transmission gauge and not finding any matches on web searches. What exactly does this gauge "gauge"?

does it require a special tool?
A: Remove the horn cover from the center of the steering wheel.Remove the clip from above the steering wheel nut.Remove the nut using a 13/16th socket.Use a steering wheel puller to remove steering wheel.Use a phillips screwdriver to remove the emergency flasher button.Use a locking plate tool to compress the locking plate and remove the locking clip using two small picks or small screw drivers being careful not to damage it.Using a phillips screwdriver remove the turn signal actuator that the turn signal arm is attached to.Remove three screws holding down the turn signal switch and pull out over steering wheel shaft.Use needle nose pliers to remove horn and key buzzer contact. It is usually white and has two metal prongs protruding from it.Remove the screw that is under it,and remove the key cylinder assembly.Install in reverse.
Q: Where is the fuel pump relay switch located in a 1994 chevy s10 pickup?
A: under your hood should be a big black encased box, this is the relay panel.Open the top and on the lid itself should be a layout of what fuse/relay belongs to what. Example relay 55. fuel pump relay. Then just locate where 55 is and pull it out .Or check your owners manuel if you still have it, that might include the same layout.GL

Q: how should i go about putting a lift kit on a 1994 chevy s10 4x4 blazer?
is it a good idea, or a bad one, and if its ok, how high, and how much would it cost me???
A: First get yourself some skoal, then start dating your cousin. Now buy yourself a confederate flag. Then get yourself a decent truck. Now take it to a professional.
Just kidding. I can't really say wether it's a good idea or not but since you own a 13y/o truck I imagine that you are young and starting out in life. There are SOOO many more productive things you could do with that money. A couple of semesters worth of tuition at a comunity college, maybe open up an investment account at a broker like etrade or scottrade, or even saving for an engagement ring or honeymoon.
Q: does anybody know if there is a free website for wiring diagrams for a 1994 chevy s10 factory stereo?
We are trying to install a Pioneer CD player in place of the factory tape player in the truck and i really don't wanna pay for a diagram. SOMEBODY please help!
A: You can buy a harness that will allow you to plug directly into the cars wiring harness without cutting anything. With that said, you do what you want, it's your truck.

Q: 1994 Chevy S10 Wiring Harness
I am about to buy this radio:
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductReview.aspx?ProductID=18901 (The Boss Audio BV7985)
And I now need to find a wiring harness for it. I have searched the net high and low and have come up with nothing. The only thing I can think of is to contact Circuit City who sells the system and ask them. The only problem.. they sell it online only and I'm not sure if they would be able to help me since they have never worked with it. Please help. Again, its a 1994 Chevy S10. Thanks.
A: You won't find a harness to go between a Boss head unit and a Chevy S-10, but you don't need one. The Boss unit should come with its own harness. You just need an adapter harness that fits the S-10, and it's one of the most common harnesses available. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=265-606 You can find it virtually anywhere car audio is sold.
Match the colors between the Boss wire harness and the GM adapter harness, and splice the wires together with solder, or crimp connectors.
